September is one of the best months to visit San Sebastián. The city gradually returns to a quieter pace while retaining many of summer’s attractions: pleasant days, plenty of daylight and a sea that is still warm. It is the perfect time to discover Donostia at a more leisurely pace and enjoy a different experience surrounded by nature.

With the arrival of September, visitor numbers begin to fall and our trips can be enjoyed in a more relaxed atmosphere, away from the hectic pace of the busiest summer weeks.

The weather generally remains mild, although it can be slightly more changeable than in midsummer. This does not necessarily have to be a disadvantage: temperatures are usually more comfortable for spending several hours at sea and, before every trip, we check the conditions to choose the most suitable time and area.
